Portsmouth are fuming with Manchester United's front office ahead of their FA Cup quarterfinal at Old Trafford.

The Sunday Mirror says it is not unusual for the visiting club to bring an allocation of tickets in case a replay is required.

But when Pompey's ticket office called their counterparts at United they were stunned to be told not to bother. United would let them know in due course if they required them.

A Pompey insider said: "It has not gone down well and I'm sure Harry Redknapp (above) will refer to it in his team talk. I don't think Sir Alex Ferguson would be amused.

"The two managers have great respect for each other and I'm sure Sir Alex wouldn't want people to think his side think the game is over."
