Man Utd tell Udinese they can do straight cash deal for Sanchez

Manchester United are closing in on Udinese star Alexis Sanchez.

The People says United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is poised to step in after Barca's bid of £22million plus Bojan Krkic, 20, was scuppered when their young attacker snubbed the move to Italy.

Udinese want £30m but may take less in straight cash. The Red Devils are in the market at £25m and possibly could go higher as the two giants slug it out for the 22-year-old.

Barca want to trade players first before committing a huge chunk of their cash to the Sanchez move, despite agreeing a £60,000-a-week contract with the player.

Manchester City also fancy the wideman but he is not keen on an Eastlands switch.
