Crewe Alexandra chairman John Bowler has rated Nick Powell as one of the most promising youngsters the club has ever produced.
The 18-year old midfielder has emerged as a target for Manchester United and Bowler feels he can make it at the top after coming through the famed academy under the guidance of Dario Gradi.
"But you would have to ask Dario that because he's the expert.
"Certainly Dario does not underestimate this lad's talent. He's got natural ability and Dario said, in his view, there is no reason why Nick cannot play at the highest level of league football.""I think he's one of the best there has been," Bowler told Sky Sports News.
