Man Utd target Jovetic committed to Fiorentina

Stevan Jovetic insists he's happy at Fiorentina.

Manchester United and Real Madrid are chasing Jovetic, but the youngster insists he's happy in Florence.

“Italy is a special place, in spite of the traffic. I am not just saying that because I am here now. I have always believed it,” Jovetic told Il Corriere della Sera.

“Kaka and Ibrahimovic, the strongest players in the world along with Messi, have chosen Spain. But I like it here and I hope to remain here for a long time.

“Besides, Florence was, to a certain extent, part of my destiny. When I was at Partizan Belgrade, I had Batistuta's goals on my phone.

“Last year, I struggled to adapt to a different style of football that is more technical, more difficult and tougher,” he explained.

“But this season, the night we faced Liverpool was the most beautiful of my career. Now I am more confident, calmer and settled.

“I feel the affection of Florence and the faith of Cesare Prandelli.”
