Man Utd target Ibrahimovic admits: ‘I love Malmo’

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has made a subtle hint that he could soon return to Swedish club Malmo.

The departing Paris Saint-Germain superstar continues to be heavily linked with a sensational move to Manchester United where he would reunite with Jose Mourinho.

However, the 34-year-old has reportedly told Swedish fans in his hometown prior to Monday night's 0-0 friendly draw with Slovenia at the Swedbank Stadion that perhaps a shock return to Malmo could be on the cards.

"I love Malmö and I wish I could play today," he said according to The Sun.

"I apologise for that, but I will, I will. Just wait for me."

Ibrahimovic developed his game with Malmo until 2001 when he was sold to Dutch giants Ajax and has kept the club close to his heart ever since departing for a glittering career around Europe which has delivered no less than 11 league titles in four different countries.
