Tottenham striker Dimitar Berbatov can be snapped up for an amazing £1.3 million in the summer of 2009.
A ruling by the Court of Arbitration for Sport yesterday now effectively allows a player to breach his contract after a "protected period" and pay his club only the value of his remaining wages in compensation.
The Independent says the CAS decision leaves Manchester United and Chelsea target Berbatov able to leave White Hart Lane next year for the equivalent of one year's wages.
