Man Utd in talks for Atletico Madrid keeper de Gea

According to the News of the WorldManchester United have opened talks with Atletico Madrid over the transfer of stopper David de Gea. The deal, thought to be worth £18million for the 19 year old, has been on the cards by United for several months now, and Sir Alex Ferguson even skipped his side's recent League Cup match against Scunthorpe in order to watch the youngster in action.

He made his first team debut back in September 2009 in a Europa League clash with Porto, which was then followed by his league debut a few days later before establishing himself as a first team regular in the Atletico side after the arrival of Quique Sanchez Flores as manager.
