Manchester United are tracking Accrington Stanley goalkeeper Andrew Dawber.
Dawber, 18, is spending increasing amounts of time at Carrington.
The Manchester Evening News says Dawber, who has one year left on his contract with the League Two club, has been training with the Reds at Carrington since January under the watchful eye of goalkeeping coach Eric Steele.
"He's got great potential," said new Accrington boss James Beattie. "Eric Steele absolutely loves him.
"He was going in once a week but he's in there all the time now.
"He needs games but training in that environment will only give him a better mental approach and belief."
