Manchester United are sweating on knee scans for Nemanja Vidic and Ashley Young.
The Daily Mail says after victory over Liverpool, Sir Alex Ferguson was waiting a little anxiously on Monday night to discover the extent of injuries to Young and Vidic.
England winger Young had a scan on Monday afternoon on the knee he injured in the first half against Liverpool and Vidic also left the field with a knee problem, worryingly to the same right leg that has caused him so much trouble over the last year or so.
United would not comment but will hope for good news about two players who will be important to them as they attempt to keep City at bay over the coming weeks.
Neither player will feature against West Ham in United's FA Cup third round replay at Old Trafford night as manager Ferguson rotates ahead of the trip to Tottenham in the League on Sunday.
