Manchester United striker Danny Welbeck struck the winner for England in victory over Belgium last night.
Guillaume Gillet shaved the upright with a long-range strike and seemingly Tottenham-bound Jan Vertonghen headed over as Belgium searched for an equaliser, while substitute Jermain Defoe almost added a second for England as he struck the post after beating Mignolet.
England boss Roy Hodgson said: "I'm very pleased, it's been a hard week.
"There was a lot of disruption in the second half, some forced upon us, some we wanted to do.
"It was a very good Belgium side - arguably stronger than Norway."
