After seeing his first United action for three matches during the latter stages of the 2-0 Champions League defeat in Olympiacos, Welbeck is keen to parade his talents and rubber-stamp a place in Roy Hodgson's plans for Brazil.
"If I get my opportunity, I just want to give it my best shot," he told TheFA.com. "I've got faith in my own ability.
"We're all in it together but, at the same time, we're fighting for that World Cup spot.
"We're professionals and we know what it takes. I think everyone is just working hard and we've just got to be as good as we can be.
"I just want to play for my club, try to score goals and try to keep injury free."
