Manchester United striker Robin van Persie has taken aim at the Dutch media.
After reaching the semifinals, the Holland captain was quick to remind reporters how they wrote off their team before the World Cup.
"I read all your pieces four weeks ago. When you gave us nothing. We are now in the semi-finals of the World Cup. That's very nice," said Van Persie.
"(The criticism) involved a lot of young players who had never been to a tournament. It did not help how you wrote about them.
"But the boys proved themselves on the pitch. It's remarkable."
