Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney admits they let themselves down after last night's 2-2 Champions League draw with Porto. "We knew Porto were a good team, we had videos on them before the game," Rooney told Sky Sports. "We knew what to expect and we should have dealt with it a bit better, I thought.
"They have got a good away record in Europe this season and we knew what we needed to do, but we just didn't deal with it, simple as that."
He added: "Going back there we will have to make sure we play the way we can and hopefully we'll get the win.
"Thankfully we're still in the tie as it could have been worse tonight. Hopefully we will go there and prove ourselves to be a good team and get the victory.
"We created a lot of problems for ourselves as a team and you don't really want to do that.
"If teams do some great things, fair enough, but we created a lot of problems for ourselves and hopefully we can cut that out."
