Wayne Rooney wants Dimitar Berbatov to stay with Manchester United.
Berbatov has been the fall-guy at United because of the success of the Rooney-Chicharito partnership, but Rooney feels the good of the team must come first.
"I want to play all the games, it's competition for places and at the end of the day it's down to the manager," he told the Mirror.
"But Berba still has a massive role for us. He was top scorer last season and scored some important goals."
