Manchester United star Wayne Rooney admits David Beckham was a threat for AC Milan in last night's 3-2 win at the San Siro.

The match was Beckham's first against his former employers, and Rooney had some generous words for his England team-mate.

"You can see the quality he's got," said the striker. "The experience, set-pieces, he's a great player."
