Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney admits his recent England form hasn't been good enough.
But he insists he will be fired up for Friday's must win with Algeria in Cape Town in Group C.
Rooney said: "For us to do well I will need to do better and score goals, I know that. But if I get a result then I will be happy.
"I'm happy to be playing, I would like to score but if I'm not scoring then I will be working hard to do so.
"I think we deserved to win against the USA but I'm looking forward to Algeria and I think we will get the three points and qualify."
