Manchester United striker Michael Owen was delighted to complete the game in their 3-3 draw with Champions League opponents CSKA Moscow.
Owen admitted surprise when realising he had seen out the 90 minutes.
He laughed: "I forgot about that to be honest but obviously I stayed on. We needed to nick a goal and it was becoming a bit of a bit of a penalty box sort of game at the end. They just crowded the middle and we had to go down the flanks which probably suited us, the lads that came on did really well and won a few good balls and thankfully we nicked the equaliser.
"I had two good chances that I was a disappointed not to score obviously but I was there again for the third one - thankfully that one went in and then I had a chance at the end as well that was saved by the keeper, so I had a few chances today and I'm disappointed I didn't score more than one but obviously the team's the main thing and I'm disappointed that we didn't win."
On taking his chances, Owen insisted: "For many years now, I'll probably miss more chances than any striker in the country because if I play as much as other strikers I'm sure I get more chances because of the way I play - instinct and things like that.
"Obviously I've been around for a long time so I'm likely to miss more chances than everybody else because I get more than most and everyone knows it's the hardest thing in football to do, to convert chances and I'm disappointed to score one out of four chances today but as I say, it's more about the team and thankfully we got the goals from somewhere."
