Manchester United striker Michael Owen was missing from their FA Cup defeat at Liverpool in more ways than one.

The Daily Mail reports Owen may be sidelined from the Manchester United team with a thigh injury.

But the perception that he cares about his big horse racing interests as much as football will grow after he was on public view in a box at a Cheltenham meeting last Saturday while United were losing their FA Cup game at Liverpool.
