Manchester United striker Michael Owen hopes he's playing his way to a place in the Champions League final squad.
After making eye-catching contributions as a late substitute against both Arsenal and Schalke, Owen remains in real contention for a place.
"The most memorable example in recent years was when two substitutes came off the bench against Bayern Munich to score the winning goals in the European Cup final," he told manutd.com. "That is the motivation that drives me on.
"Every day, I have to be ready and prepared to come in and do something. I am dreaming of coming off the bench and scoring the winner at Wembley in stoppage time.
"It just illustrates the depth of squad needed. You never know when you are going to be needed and you have to be in the right frame of mind and physically right to do yourself and the team justice. That is everyone's role at the moment."
