Manchester United have allowed Federico Macheda to join VfB Stuttgart of the Bundesliga on loan for the rest of the season. "We have been watching him for a while now," director of sport Fredi Bobic said recently. "He is one of the players we have on our shortlist."
The 21 year old said: "I have followed the Bundesliga and naturally know about Stuttgart. I am glad that I can now play for the club.
"For me, it is about getting to know the team and what I can bring, because we have a lot of interesting games in three different competitions in front of us."
