Manchester United signing Radamel Falcao admits he could've been lost to basketball.
As a kid he would CRY every time he played football - and took up baseball because pals made fun of him for his struggles.
Falcao recalls: "I lived in Venezuela and started playing football - but I was too shy. I remember that I used to cry because I did not want to play with the other kids.
"But my dad encouraged me and persuaded me to play with them.
"Playing football was my passion - but let me tell you I could also have been a baseball player in Venezuela, where I lived for five years.
"One day the training session was cancelled and my team-mates decided to play baseball but I knew nothing about the game.
"When we started to play I dropped the ball and my team-mates laughed. I took it as a challenge to learn the game.
"I was a pitcher and I reckon that I could have had a career there.
"But my dad realised that I was really good at playing football so we left Venezuela and I quit baseball. I believe I was designed to be a footballer."
