Manchester United star Javier Hernandez was proud of Mexico over their gold medal triumph at the London Olympics.

Chicharito says he was proud to see his countrymen win the football final.

He told man utd.com: "Oh yes, it was a great moment and a very big achievement for our country. It was the only gold medal we won at the London Olympics and everyone in our country felt very proud. I don't think anyone really believed we would get to the final and then beat Brazil but against all the odds we did it.

"The players and Mexican people have dreamt of that moment and to achieve it was fantastic. It's shown us all that anything is possible."
