Javier Hernandez could miss this summer's CONCACAF Gold Cup after suffering a collarbone injury.
The Manchester United striker sustained the injury while playing for Mexico in a friendly with Honduras on Wednesday and has been taken to hospital with a suspected broken collarbone.
The news comes as a major blow to the 27-year old as he was looking to impress United during the Gold Cup which kicks off next week.
Chicharito, who spent last season on loan with Real Madrid, is being linked with an Old Trafford exit and would have loved the opportunity to star at the Gold Cup and change the mind of Louis van Gaal.
Mexico's campaign begins with a fixture against Cuba in Chicago on July 9.
