Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez is frustrated over Mexico's World Cup exit.
Mexico fell to Louis van Gaal's Holland in controversial fashion.
"It is a very bitter pill for us," Chicharito explained to reporters. "We were another step closer to achieving what we had set out to do and, unfortunately, we could not do it.
"It's part of football, a distraction [from a set-piece] and then a very dubious penalty that knocks us out and, unfortunately, we have to go home.
"It's not about blaming the referees," he insisted. "They are only human and he made a bad decision. We cannot do anything about it. But it hurt the aspirations of a country and a team.
"This defeat was our first at the World Cup and it caused us elimination. That's football and you cannot predict anything. Everyone tried to do their best. In that respect, we're proud of the effort but not satisfied."
