Manchester United striker Ashley Fletcher is delighted with his loan move to Barnsley.

Fletcher is joining Barnsley on a month's loan.

The move is the first of the Yorkshire-born striker's career and he will go straight into the squad, wearing the no.18 shirt, for this weekend's Johnstone's Paint Trophy Area Final first leg against Fleetwood at Oakwell. And he told Barnsley's official website that he is keen to impress during the next month.

"I'm buzzing to be here," he said. "I've come to get some league experience and help improve the team.

"I'm looking forward to this weekend. Fleetwood are a good side and it will be a good test but with the quality we've got, I'm sure we can do the business.

"Having trained with the lads this morning, I can see the quality there is at the club."
