Manchester United ensured the title race will go to the final day of the season after a nervy 1-0 win over Sunderland at the Stadium of Light. Nani scored the only goal of the game in the first half as United had to claim the three points to keep the gap down to one point from leaders Chelsea.
Dimitar Berbatov missed two chances and headed a third on to the bar, while a Michael Carrick shot was cleared off the line.
Sunderland threatened sporadically but United held out.
Chelsea will clinch the title if they beat Wigan at Stamford Bridge, while United must get the better of Stoke and hope Carlo Ancelotti's men fail to pick up all three points.
