Tranmere Rovers have signed Manchester United defender Scott Wootton on a one-month loan deal, reports BBC Sport. The 19-year-old was once part of the Tranmere academy but was sold to Liverpool at the age of 13 before moving to Old Trafford.

"I'm pleased to be able to bring Scott to the club," manager Les Parry told the Rovers website.
