Manchester United youngster Robbie Brady was outstanding on debut for the Republic of Ireland in their 4-1 friendly win over Oman.
Brady, yet to make his club debut, scored one and made two others as Oman were well beaten in this low-key friendly at Craven Cottage.
Winger Brady, 20, crossed for Shane Long's opener, smacked home a volley to make it 2-0 and then set up Shane Long for the Republic's third.
Alex Pearce added a fourth after Eid Al-Farsi had scored a consolation goal for Oman. Irish boss Giovanni Trapattoni said: "Brady is strong technically and it does not matter that he is not playing for his club.
"But we have to think about our approach for the next game against Germany. We may have to defend a lot more."
