Wayne Rooney scored his 176th Premier League goal for Manchester United on Sunday.
The 30-year-old striker fired home a rebound from Marouane Fellaini's header which had cannoned back off the crossbar in the 78th minute to lead his side to a 1-0 victory over Liverpool at Anfield.
The goal took him past Arsenal great Thierry Henry's record of goals scored in England's top flight for one club which took the England skipper by surprise when he was notified.
"I didn't know!" Rooney said on Sky Sports when told of the record.
"It is great to have records, but scoring a winning goal at Anfield... it's been a long time since that happened for me, so I will be a bit selfish today and enjoy that one."
The 176 goals Rooney has scored for United sees his Premier League tally move to 191 having netted 15 times for former club Everton.
176 - Wayne Rooney has now scored more goals for a single Premier League club than any other player (176). Record.
