Nani has played down comparisons with former Manchester United teammate Cristiano Ronaldo.
United boss Sir Alex Ferguson says Nani is actually at a more advanced stage at the same age than Ronaldo.
Nani, 24, said: "I always tell everyone I've ambition and it's not easy to give up on United, but at the same time you come to this club to play.
"Now it's my best season here, I don't compare myself to Ronaldo or anyone else. I just think about myself and the club and what I can do for them.
"I'm feeling so good with the team and I've been doing so well but I know I can do more.
"That's why I'm training hard every day and staying fit for every game."
He is getting plenty of encouragement from not only the boss but the player he is compared with so favourably.
Nani said: "Ronaldo spoke to me before the Marseille game and told me how well I'm doing. We're big friends."
