Man Utd stall talks as Rooney demands £70M contract

Manchester United are stalling on meeting the new contract demands of Wayne Rooney. The Mail on Sunday says United have not agreed a new deal with Rooney is that they did not want to commit £70million on keeping the player at Old Trafford.

Rooney is looking for an improvement on his current £250,000-a-week salary and would want a five-year contract the stay at the club.

But the club remain reluctant to make such a massive financial commitment to a man who is now 28 years old.
