Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw believes the entire club is ready to get behind new signing Anthony Martial.

Martial, who arrived for a massive transfer fee of £36million in the summer, has already been the subject of much debate among the fans and the media even before kicking a ball for the Red Devils.

Despite being less than six months senior of his new teammate, Shaw says it is important to help the 19-year-old French forward settle amidst plenty of criticism.

"Of course I am always willing to help people no matter how old they are," said Shaw.

"I know Anthony might find it a bit tough with everything that's going on with social media.

"We have great people at the club in terms of staff and players. We will all welcome him very well. He is a young player with a lot of potential. Hopefully we can help him."
