Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is lining up a new bid for Everton fullback Leighton Baines.
ESPN says Ferguson is considering making a beat-the-deadline move for Baines because he is still seeking left-back cover.
The defender will line up against the Reds for Everton on Monday.
