Manchester United captain Nemanja Vidic has hinted he's ready to announce his international retirement.

Vidic missed a second-half penalty as his country chased a win in Slovenia that would have guaranteed a place in the play-offs.

"It's time for a change of generations, and for some older players to say goodbye to the Serbian kit," said Vidic.

Vidic was making his first appearance since injuring a calf in United's opening game of the Barclays Premier League season.
