Manchester United captain Nemanja Vidic says he's Wayne Rooney's No1 fan.
Fiery-tempered Wazza, 25, is serving a two-match FA ban for his four-letter outburst at West Ham last Saturday.
And speaking after Rooney's sensational Champions League quarter-final winner at Stamford Bridge, Vidic said: "I don't know how he does it.
"Sometimes it is not nice when you read stories about you but Wayne has kept a cool head.
"In recent weeks the headlines about him have not always been about the football.
"But Wayne has delivered some good performances and has shown some character, too.
"Having been at United for several years, Wayne is used to being in the spotlight."
