Manchester United skipper Nemanja Vidic hopes to hit the comeback trail this week.

The Sun says Vidic is set to begin with strengthening work in the gym.

Vidic, 31 today, is now able to exercise but United are taking no chances and will not rush the Serbian back into action.

They may even wait until mid-December for his league return.
