England captain Wayne Rooney admits he is excited to get the chance to start up front with Harry Kane on Tuesday night.
The Tottenham striker will make his full England debut in the friendly with Italy in Turin after scoring as a second-half sub in Friday night's 4-0 Euro2016 qualifying win over Lithuania when replacing Rooney.
Three Lions boss Roy Hodgson has revealed that Kane has been given the nod to form a two-man strike partnership with the Manchester United star and Rooney is looking forward to the prospect.
"I think it's exciting for English football that Harry's come into the Premier League at Tottenham and been fantastic," he said.
"Hopefully he continues that form with England, it's big night for him, his first start and I'm sure he's excited and will try and do his best.
"I am excited to play with him, hopefully we can do well to try and help the team win."
