Man Utd 'singing section' debut dubbed success

Manchester United's new singing section has won rave reviews for last night's win over Real Sociedad.

The Manchester Evening News says standing behind flags and banners bearing messages like: 'We Are The Scoreboard, The Scoreboard Paddock' they worked through their favourite terrace anthems.

Diego Forlan, David de Gea, Gary Neville (and sister Tracey) Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Eric Cantona, Andy Cole, Ryan Giggs, Wes Brown, Cristiano Ronaldo, George Best, Bryan Robson and Wayne Rooney all had their songs sung, while Roy Keane can be left in no doubt that United fans still hold him in high esteem.

The Stretford End didn't respond to a chant of 'Stretford, give us a song', but the famous old end was sparked into life in the second half. Two vocal areas made for a noisy night.
