Southampton's Matt Targett has urged his teammates to avoid another slow start in the Premier League this weekend.
The Saints take on Manchester United at Old Trafford on Friday night and young full-back Targett has highlighted the importance of starting strongly after coming from behind to force a 1-1 draw wth 10-man Watford last weekend.
Targett is also well aware that United's new boys Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Paul Pogba, Eric Bailly and Henrikh Mkhitaryan are likely to have a major impact in the encounter.
"The first half [against Watford] wasn't good enough, and the manager said that at half-time," the 20-year-old told Southampton's official website.
"We know we can't start the game like that against Manchester United, because it will be game over in 20 minutes."
"It will be a very difficult game.
"It's their first game at home and they're going to be well up for it, so we'll have to match it.
"I think they're going to be more attacking, I think the signings they have made will make a big difference."
