Man Utd security staff charged over injuries to Man City fan

Two members of Manchester United's security staff have been charged with causing grievous bodily harm after a fan broke both his legs after allegedly being pushed down a flight of stairs, reports the Guardian.

The incident happened during United's derby victory against Manchester City in September, when a City fan claims he was twice caught smoking inside Old Trafford.

Two men have been charged by Greater Manchester Police. They are due to appear at Trafford magistrates' court next Monday. Manchester United declined to comment.
