Manchester United had a presence in the stands for Porto's clash with SC Braga on the weekend.
A Bola says United scouts were joined by representatives from Juventus, AC Milan, PSV Eindhoven and Bayern Munich.
It's understood United manager Sir Alex Ferguson had three players involved under consideration - Porto duo James Rodriguez and Jackson Martinez, along with Braga attacker Eder.
