Manchester United scouts was present for Benfica's Europa League semifinal first-leg win over Juventus this week.

The Manchester Evening News says United scouts checked in on Paul Pogba and Ezequiel Garay on Thursday night as they stepped up their plans for big changes at Old Trafford this summer.

United's staff watched on as long-term target Garay scored and Pogba impressed in Benfica's 2-1 win over Juventus.

Pogba, who was a United player until leaving for Juve in 2012, has been identified as potential solution to the Reds' midfield problems.
