Real Sociedad winger Adnan Januzaj didn't see his sale by Manchester United coming.
Proof of that is The Sun reporting Januzaj spent £3million on a house just days before Manchester United sold him abroad.
The £40,000-a-week Belgian winger, 22, had barely completed the deal for the Cheshire mansion when he was transferred.
It is thought he never even got the chance to move in. A source said: “Adnan fell in love with the property as soon as he saw it.
“He was delighted when his offer was accepted.
“The sale dragged on a bit but he was hopeful he had a future at Old Trafford. Manager Jose Mourinho had other ideas."
The house in Altrincham cost Januzaj £2.7million plus £237,750 in stamp duty.
But just eight days later he was offloaded to Real Sociedad in Spain for £9.8million.
