Man Utd's Zaha has ability to 'have an impact' for England - Crystal Palace's Pardew

Wilfried Zaha has the potential to make a positive impact on the England national team according to Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew.

Pardew has been working closely with the 22-year old winger since taking the reins at Selhurst Park from Newcastle United and feels he is good enough to amass many more than the two caps he already has for the Three Lions.

Zaha, currently on a season-long from Manchester United, has been getting consistent game time with Palace this season and Pardew feels that experience will go a long way to seeing him eventually becoming an England regular.

"He has certainly got the ability," said Pardew.

"Wilfried has got a lot going for him and he has the potential to have an impact on the international stage at some point.

"I think the opportunities at Manchester United have been limited and that has been a problem.

"That has been a problem particularly at the top four or five clubs. Wilf is one of the lucky ones in that he has a platform on which he can play."

Zaha, who has twice been Palace's Young Player of the Year, made his international debut in a friendly against Sweden in November 2012 with his second cap coming in a 3-2 win over Scotland at Wembley in August 2013.
