Man Utd's Young eager to avoid being part of Man City record

Ashley Young is desperate for Manchester United not to fall to Manchester City for a fifth-successive time.

The Red Devils have lost their past four Manchester derbies to the Citizens and ahead of Sunday's meeting at Old Trafford, winger Young is not too keen on being part of a record that has not been broken for six decades.

"That's something you want to put right," Young said of City's recent dominance in the fixture.

"It will be another massive game."

He added: "We know it will be tough but as long as we can play the way we have shown, especially in the last few games, and add to that, it's going to be a great game and hopefully we will get the three points.

"We want to keep the momentum going and the positive play."

United were beaten by City 1-0 at the Etihad Stadium in November after losing in March 2014 (3-0 at Old Trafford), September 2013 (4-1 away) and April 2013 (2-1 at home).

Their last win over City came in December 2012 when Wayne Rooney netted a double and Robin van Persie a late winner in the 3-2 result at the Etihad.
