Man Utd's Welbeck not scared to be England's main man

Danny Welbeck insists he is not frightened to lead England's attack at Euro2012.

The Manchester United youngster played up front by himself in the 1-1 draw with France on Monday and admits he is relishing the challenge of being the leading target man for the Three Lions at a major tournament.

"You're going to come across the good and the bad but you've got to take it in your stride," he said ahead of tomorrow night's clash with Sweden.

"I've been put in a position to lead the line for England.

"It's not something I'm scared of. I'm relishing the opportunity. Otherwise I wouldn't be here."
