Man Utd's Vidic not writing off Chelsea talent

Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic knows very well just how talented the Chelsea attacking line is. The two sides meet in tomorrow night's Champions League quarter-final first leg at Stamford Bridge and the Serbian international is not prepared to write off the Blues strikers who are failing to score on a consistent basis in recent times.

Fernando Torres, Nicolas Anelka, Florent Malouda and Salomon Kalou have all struggled in front of goal recently and apart from Didier Drogba's header against Stoke City on the weekend, he has also failed to score like usual.

But Vidic knows that things can change very quickly and understands he and his teammates will need to be on alert in London tomorrow night.

"We have respect, obviously, for their attacking players," said Vidic.

"It doesn't matter if they didn't score a goal. They will try to score and they will give their best.

"This is two games and, at the end of the day, it's most important who will go through and not who will score the goals."

Vidic admitted that Chelsea had enjoyed some positive performances in the past few weeks but said that one single goal could be enough for United to edge their foot into the CL semi-finals.

"Maybe, in terms of the results," he said."In the last few games, they had good results.

"But this is the Champions League and we have to score a goal - this is the name of the game for us. It helps for the next game."
