Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic can smell more trophies for the club this season and is intent on bringing them to Old Trafford. The Red Devils have already won the FIFA Club World Cup this season and are currently alive in both the Carling and FA Cups, the Champions League and are sitting at the top of the Premier League table.

Vidic believes the club is in a fantastic position to better last season's haul of Premier League champions and European champions.

"I won one trophy two years ago and two last season, so I would like to progress again," he said.

"We are in a good position, fighting for everything but it will be hard especially as we still have so many games to play between now and the end of the season.

"I hope we win more than last season and I am optimistic about things, but I never said we would win every trophy."
