Louis van Gaal couldn't believe he had to answer questions about a Wayne Rooney video that surfaced recently.
The Manchester United skipper was seen on the front pages of The Sun sparring in his Cheshire home with former teammate Phil Bardsley in a video that was somehow leaked to the press.
It shows Rooney being knocked to the ground by the now-Sunderland defender as they donned boxing gloves.
As the Red Devils ace scored in Sunday's 3-0 win over Tottenham, he celebrated by throwing punches in the air before falling over, mocking the released video. It became a talking point at the after match press conference but United boss van Gaal couldn't work out why.
"I think in what a world we live in I can't imagine we are talking about such a thing, that a newspaper paid a lot for a video and that I have to answer questions about it," he told Sky Sports 1.
"I think, what is this world, twisted?
The Dutchman added: "I don't want to answer this question because I think it is ridiculous that we have to talk about such things."
