Louis van Gaal has made it clear that he is trying to make life a little easier for Manchester United's Angel Di Maria.
The Argentine winger is struggling for form with the Red Devils but van Gaal says he is attempting to accommodate the former Real Madrid star as he continues his adjustment to English football.
But van Gaal was quick to point out that Di Maria is not the only United player he shows a keen interest in.
"Yes. I try to show (more compassion). I can give him a lot of days free," the Dutchman told the Daily Telegraph.
"When I make a decision, it is not 'my' decision. I take the decision for the group and my staff. I'm not cold. I'm very warm to all my players.
"Yes, then I can be cool because I have to measure risk. I am interested in my players, not only in the player that kicks the ball from A to B, but also in their family, their wife, their kids."
